Joanna graduated in Law (MA) and Sinology (BA) at the University of Warsaw. Throughout her studies, Joanna engaged in various academic initiatives, which earned her the Scholarship of the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education for exemplary academic performance, and eventually led her to realize her own research project about Chinese patriotic education as the laureate of the “Diamond Grant.” At the university, Joanna was actively involved in the Student Union at her college and served as its President. She was also European Personnel Selection Office’s Student Ambassador and a founding member of the Polish chapter of the European Horizons think tank.

Joanna participated in the 2022 TFAS Summer Program on International Affairs track, interning at the National Bureau of Asian Research. For her, an invaluable part of the trip was the chance to learn in-depth about U.S. history and philosophical thought, which highly influenced the American approach to international relations.
